Perotti And Carrade CPAs's roots run deep in Marin County. We are an outgrowth of a firm founded in Larkspur in the 1940's. Today we serve clients in every county of the San Francisco Bay Area, in many other parts of California and throughout the country. David E. Perotti joined our firm in late 1977.
He previously had nine years of experience with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, (now Deloitte), in San Francisco and was instrumental in forming their small business department.
Mr. Perotti is primarily responsible for providing financial statement attestation services for our business clients. In this connection his clients include a significant number of non profit as well as for profit organizations.
Industries in which Mr. Perotti has significant experience include: real estate management and development, affordable housing, wholesale distribution, travel, insurance brokerage, customs house brokerage, broadcasting and professional services. Non profit organizations include: performing arts, affordable housing, social service, educational and membership organizations.

Denis E. Carrade joined the firm in 1982.
His background includes a total of thirty-five years of intensive tax experience. His experience includes service with the Franchise Tax Board and Moss Adams, a west coast regional certified public accounting firm.
Denis graduated from the University of Santa Clara and received his Masters of Taxation degree from Golden Gate University.
In addition, he has dealt extensively with real estate development, corporate, partnership and individual taxation. Denis also acts as an expert witness in litigation matters and business valuation matters. Denis was formerly a member of the Board of Directors of the Novato Youth Center and the Marin Alano Club. He now serves on the board of the Family Law Center.
Denis is a native of Marin County. Growing up in Greenbrae, he schooled at Greenbrae elementary school, Adeline E. Kent junior high school and graduated from Redwood High School in 1971. After high school Denis went on to study accounting at University of Santa Clara, graduating in 1975 with a Bachelors in Science of Commerce with an accounting emphasis. While working Denis obtained his Master's Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University completing that program in 1982.
Upon graduation from Santa Clara he started his long career in accounting by joining the Franchise Tax Board. Three years of working for the government helped him learn tax law and understand how the government operates. This knowledge has been invaluable when handling audit situations for clients with government agencies. In 1979 he left government service and went to work for a West Coast regional CPA firm in San Francisco. During that stint he completed the work necessary to obtain his CPA certificate and helped open the Santa Rosa office of that firm. Then in 1982 Denis joined the predecessor firm of Perotti & Carrade as their tax Manager bringing with him not only his extensive tax law knowledge but the knowledge of how to run an efficient tax department for the firm. In 1984 a change of life move took Denis to join a real estate development company as the financial vice-president. In 1985 after a year and a half Denis realized that he missed the challenges of tax law and helping clients navigate those mazes. So, he came back to work for the same CPA firm he had left the year before. Then in May 1986 that firm split up and Denis joined with Perotti (Dave) to found and create Perotti & Carrade. Denis manages the tax side of the firm. Denis & Dave have been together since 1986 (now 25 years) working out of the same offices building a firm that is now 5 times larger than when they first started.
In the 35 years that Denis has been in the tax and accounting business he has gained a very broad range of extensive tax knowledge and experience. His areas of expertise cross the entire spectrum of tax law including individual, corporate, partnership, estate and trust law. His real estate development experience provides Denis with an extra special insight in that field. He has also been extensively involved over the years in estate planning field. Denis has also been involved in the litigation support field in family law and business valuation matters. Over the years Denis has been personally and professionally involved in the non-profit world. He has served at various times as a Board member for Novato Youth Center, Marin Alano Club, Novato Theatre Restoration Committee and the Family and Children's Law Center.
Marc S. Samborski joined the Firm in February, 1989.
Before joining our Firm, Marc had seven years experience with two local CPA firms in San Francisco.
He graduated with a BS in Accounting at Golden Gate University and subsequently earned his Masters in Accounting and Taxation also from Golden Gate University. He received his CPA certificate in March, 1985.
Marc is also responsible for maintaining our computer network and assisting our clients with computer system design and upgrades.
